Description

Plan, design, test, pilot and commission new network infrastructure, directory service, messaging system, communication system and corporate portal for a new military base. The technologies deployed are based on Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Signal System, Symantec Anti Virus and Veritas Backup Exec. The solution provided in the project covers commissioning of the following:

	Local Area Network (LAN) for the new base
	Wide Area Network connectivity to the Head Office
	Active Directory service for authentication and file and print services
	Microsoft Exchange enterprise messaging system for internal e-mail
	Signal System for secure communication between military bases nationwide
	Access to the corporate portal via web browser with integration to the local messaging server which includes access to corporate news and announcement, management of corporate documents, staff daily order, automated prayer time, automated weather announcement, daily tasks, leave application, vehicle application and housing application.
	Symantec Anti Virus as the enterprise anti virus infrastructure managing and protecting Windows-based servers.
	Veritas Backup Exec as the enterprise backup infrastructure managing backup for Windows-based servers.

The deployment scope covers one (1) location with about 100 users.
