Responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:

Lead, manage and architect medium to large scale Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions and implementation at strategic enterprise accounts
Assessment of business requirements and develop technology roadmaps based on the requirements
Communicate key elements of one or more technology architectures to technical and business audiences
Review architecture design of key infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with the enterprise standards, processes, procedures and target architecture/roadmap
Develop and advise infrastructure architecture and design for existing and future projects
Explore and select new technologies and products for integration into the infrastructure and/or design as well as deployment process
Formulate project documentation such as design document, test plan, migration and co-existence strategy, etc

Formulate technical proposals, technical reports, etc for tender submission or opportunity bidding

Review and approve technical documentation formulated by Consultants

To stay abreast of new technologies - Microsoft-based or Open Source Systems (OSS)-based

Mentor and coach Consultants on project works and new technologies
Identify new customer and project opportunities within existing customer base
Moderate-to-heavy traveling to customer's location

Qualifications required:

MUST HAVE at least 3+ years experience in planning, designing, staging and implementing Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions / projects
MUST POSSESS a Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Higher Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering or any related fields
MUST BE certified at least as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE Windows 2003 or later)

Skills required:

MUST HAVE very strong technical breadth and/or depth in either Windows 2000/2003 Server Active Directory, Exchange 2000/2003/2007, ISA Server 2000/2004/2006, Sharepoint Portal Server 2003/2007, SMS 2003, Systems Center, MOM 2005, Live Communications Server 2005, SQL 2000/2005, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Terminal Services, etc

MUST HAVE solid experience in planning and designing either Windows 2000/2003 Server Active Directory, Exchange 2000/2003/2007, ISA Server 2000/2004/2006, Sharepoint Portal Server 2003/2007, SMS 2003, Systems Center, MOM 2005, Live Communications Server 2005, SQL 2000/2005, DNS, DHCP, WINS, etc

MUST BE independent, can work without supervision and in a team as well as aggressive

MUST BE dynamic, motivated, result oriented and able to handle systems architecture design and deployment challenges as well as work on tight schedule

MUST BE critical to details

MUST POSSESS strong oral / written communication, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills

MUST POSSESS excellent organizational skills - ability to prioritize and manage schedules as well as meet project deadlines

MUST HAVE the ability to execute policies and procedures that promote customer satisfaction

MUST HAVE strong understanding of common enterprise-level software technology terms and concepts as well as hands-on skills in as many areas listed below:

  • Operating Systems (ie; Windows Server 2000/2003/Xp Pro/Vista, Red Hat Linux, etc)

  • Directory Service (ie; Active Directory, Open LDAP, Netware NDS, etc)

  • Messaging System (ie; Exchange, Notes, Sendmail, etc)

  • Collaboration System (ie; LCS, OCS, SPS, etc)

  • Database system (ie; SQL Server, Oracle, MYSQL, etc)

  • Firewall/Proxy System (ie; ISA server, SQUID Proxy, Bluecoat, etc)

  • Anti Virus System (ie; Symantec, F-Secure, Kaspersky, etc)

  • Backup System (ie; Symantec BackupExec, etc)

  • Desktop Management System (ie; SMS 2003, Altiris, etc)

  • Networking (ie; LAN, WAN, WiFi, VSAT, Frame Relay, etc)

MUST BE able to work on tight schedules

MUST POSSESS strong knowledge in project methodology such as Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF), etc

Added advantage:
Possess strong knowledge and experience in planning and designing Open Source Systems (OSS) infrastructure-related technologies such as Open LDAP, Sendmail, Squid Proxy, etc
Possess experience in medium to large scale project management
Technical knowledge and experience in Open Source (ie; Linux) infrastructure project/solutions
Possess experience in planning, design and implementation of Enterprise backup solutions, security systems, etc
Posses experience in consulting and project management related service offerings
